getting back to basics

soon you will see uploads of my film photography work. this past winter i struggled through bitter temperatures and many disappointments from weather conditions but managed to complete my film photography portfolio and recieved 100% as a final grade. i worked my ass off and the results prove it!
so this summer not only will i continue to work on my digital photography but i will advance my knowledge of film photography because it is first and foremost my true love. i will purchase the equipment and convert my little 6x4 bathroom into a temporary darkroom. there is probable reason to believe that rather than smell like coconuts and nectarines

tax season is upon us again and as a student this means MONEY FOR ME! though i missed the camera flea market (because i was at work making money) i am not at all sad, i have bought a sigma 70-300mm to be received later this week, God thank you for eBay.
and when the government showers me in those love checks i will possess the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 :) next on the shopping list is a new backpack and later on this year a hassleblad 500c 6x7 format.
3 weeks to go until all i need to worry about is exposure times and fstops! YIPPY!!

Rain Rain Go Away !

As much as I like rain for my photography, its a real buzz kill for my final darkroom portfolio! Thursdays are devoted to shooting - and yet again - IT'S GOING TO RAIN! I knew I should have done my portfolio in studio, where I can work whether it rains or not, but no...March and April suck as far as I'm concerned! Doesn't mother nature know that it should only rain when its convenient for me!?
